Amanda Curbishley

Amanda feels a connection to light, shape and colour in nature which is reflected in her work. Using acrylic and mixed media she incorporates bright colours and textures into her paintings, which lean toward the semi abstract.
She uses still life, a photo reference or an idea as a starting point, and a sketch book to work out composition, she tends to go straight to canvas to get a base for a painting and allow it to develop in its own way.
Amanda has exhibited at Mentmore Arts Festival, Bucks Art Society Exhibitions, at Bucks Open Studios, at local school exhibitions, art shows, the Obsidian Gallery and Bucks County Museum.
