About Cecile Gallina.
Born in France, Cécile came to live in the UK in her early twenties but only started painting in later life. Cecile has been living in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, for most of that time.
Cecile is a self taught artist who learns through attending courses, workshops and demonstrations as well as going to Exhibitions and Galleries. Cecile likes the fact that it’s an ongoing learning curve which is stimulating and exciting.
Cecile mostly uses acrylics with a fairly dry brush (and a knife for finishing touches) as well as acrylic inks and mixed media. She enjoys experimenting in all manners of styles and aims to simplify forms whenever possible. Painting has been a tradition in her family which Cecile is proud to continue.
Cecile considers that Art is first and foremost a way towards personal development and fulfilment.
