Yoshie Fellowes-Murakami

Yoshie is originally from Tokyo and has been living in Northwood, Greater London since 1983.
Her painting is atmospheric and semi-abstract. She aims to capture the atmosphere, feeling and essence of the landscapes, seascapes and flowers she studies.
She has been interested in the arts since a young age. Before discovering the joy of painting 10 years ago, she studied textile design in Tokyo, etching at Kensington and Chelsea College and picture restoration and frame restoration in London.
She photographs and sketches her subject matter outdoors before finishing her paintings in her studio. She uses acrylics, mixed media and oil. Yoshie belongs to Pinner Sketch Club, Watford and Bushey Art Society and Harrow Art Society. In 2021 she was awarded the Kenneth Grimmett Art Award at the Pinner Sketch Club Annual Summer Exhibition.
