Boats, Derwentwater

Original cyanotype print coated by hand and then wet process printed on Arches Platine cotton rag. It was then lightly toned in strong cold tea for a few minutes to give a split tone.

This image was taken with a pinhole camera constructed from an old Agfa Clack 6x9 camera. This gives large negative sizes ideal for pinhole work. The softness of the pinhole camera and the necessary long exposure together with the tea toning work together well in this image.

This is a hand-produced cyanotype print from an original photograph by the artist. Signed and numbered, each print is unique in a small limited edition of just 10 prints.

The print is sold mounted with the whole image framed within a single mat of archival mountboard. All materials are acid free. These are variable edition prints so each print within an edition is unique and subtly different from others in the same edition. Hand-printed to order by the artist; normally orders will be completed within five days unless the artist is away when the print will be made available as soon as possible – we will contact you to confirm as soon as we have received your order, or call us on 01296 612150 to check in advance.
