About Guy Chapman ARBSA - Artists Statement

A completely self-taught full-time artist, I have been drawing for as long as I can recall.  In the 1970s I discovered CS Lewis and Tolkien whose books introduced me to the possibility of endless self-imagined worlds, and I continue to develop these from somewhere deep within my dream-filled head.  

I have drawn for a number of famous people, illustrated a couple of books and am in the early stages of doing some work for a children’s author.   I am a full member of the Cotswold Craftsmen Guild and in 2024 I successfully became an associate member of the prestigious Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA), which was been the defining moment of my career to date.  I continue to show art at selected venues annually in the hope of ascending the art world ladder to greater things and sharing my art with as many people as possible.
