Carmen explains the piece, "Inspired by my time as artist-in-residence sketching by the lily pond where the water lilies bloom in white and the palest shade of pink."

About Carmen Carreira

Carmen Carreira is a local artist with a particular interest in wildlife and botanical illustration. 
After graduating with a degree in Illustration from Kingston university, Carmen produced book art for publishers including Country Living and the National Trust. 

Carmen's work is particularly influenced by the natural world and wildlife conservation, and when not exhibiting or working on commissions, Carmen is Artist-in-Residence at Ascott Estate National Trust in Buckinghamshire.
