Own Art is a national initiative set up by the Arts Council that    makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by letting    you spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months with an    interest-free loan.

As an Arts Council approved gallery, Obsidian Art is able to offer Own Art. The Own Art scheme is designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to buy contemporary works of art and craft including paintings, printmaking, photography, sculpture, glass, ceramics and jewellery.

You can borrow up to £2,500, or as little as £100, and pay back the loan in 10 monthly direct debit instalments - interest free.

It's a simple process: you just need to complete a simple application and credit check online, which can be done by us with you, either in person at the gallery, or over the phone, or we can email you an application to complete at home. Usually you will get an immediate decision and if accepted you can take your artwork home straight away.
