This is a hand-printed original monotype piece by Clare Buchta.  It was created using a type of press to take the image created on a smooth surface using acrylic printing ink.

The piece measues 65cm x 55cm

Artist Statement

"I often take day trips and breaks in the UK to walk and sketch and paint the wonderful scenery. My local area around Berkshire and Oxfordshire and the coast and countryside of  the UK are my inspiration. My sketches are done in watercolour and ink which are then worked up into a paining in oils in my studio."

About Clare Buchta

Clare has painted for most of her life following family influences. Land and seascapes are her subject matter, reflecting the changing UK coast and countryside in all moods and seasons.
With a distinctive and recognisable, unique style, Clare paints in all mediums from oils , acrylics and various printing techniques. She works from sketches made on location, in the countryside and on the Coast completing the final piece in her home studio in Berkshire.

Clare's work has been recognised with national awards and sales in the UK and abroad. She is involved with local Art Societies and Arts Trails and teaches workshops in various art techniques especially print making.
