About Tracey Ebbs
Tracey Ebbs is a relative latecomer to the art world. Discouraged at school and told she had no artistic talent, she set creativity aside for more than forty years.
Everything changed in late 2022 when she accompanied her mother to a beginners’ watercolour class. There, Tracey fell in love with the medium and discovered a creative voice she never knew she had.
Since then, she has been making up for lost time, enthusiastically exploring a wide range of subjects and techniques. While watercolour remains her first love, she has expanded her practice to include pen work, drawn to the intricate detail and rich textures it allows her to achieve. More recently, Tracey has begun experimenting with landscapes, urban sketching, and human figures, and is enjoying the challenge of widening her repertoire.
Tracey’s work is deeply inspired by her passion for wildlife. Alongside detailed, lifelike animal portraits, she has developed a distinctive style of whimsical wildlife illustration that celebrates the quirky, playful side of nature.
Based in North Buckinghamshire, Tracey has exhibited widely across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Oxfordshire. In 2024, she was delighted to be voted among the top three most popular artists at the Thame Art Crawl.
