Archibald Knox was born in the Isle of Man of Scottish parenthood. His designs were synonymous with British Art Nouveau and he is regarded as being a prominent influence in the Arts and Crafts movement. His Celtic designs and calligraphy are world famous and iconic in the Isle of Man. Today both his art work for Liberty & Co and his watercolours are highly sought after.

This clock has been beautifully crafted by AE Williams Pewter - a family run UK pewter manufacturer with a long history :-

The AE Willams’ story began in 1779 when Thomas Williams started a small business from his home in the Welsh borders making pewter flatware and dishes. The company is still owned and operated by his family. Present family are members of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, as were their forebears and Freemen of the City of London.

Historically A E Williams have produced traditional domestic Pewterware but they have also produced beautiful pieces for Palaces, Cathedrals, Stately Homes and TV, Film and Theatre Companies including Harry Potter, BBC’s Poldark, Les Miserables and even HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones!

A E Williams continue to produce hand cast traditional Pewter and with the addition of a modern Pewter gift range, collectors now have an unrivalled choice of Pewter – each cast with care by craftsmen.
