Anna has always been fascinated by glass. She loves how it reflects the light and the amazing patterns and shapes which can be achieved. Half the beauty is what happens in the kiln and how the piece is fired. Most of her inspiration comes from the natural world and observing form and patterns. She enjoys creating depth within her work and her work often involves multiple firings and techniques. Anna's pieces use a variety of glass sheets, powders and frits, together with metal inclusions, enamel paints and murrine cane. Her recent pieces use the sand casting technique and are created using hot glass from a furnace. She is always experimenting and trying new ideas so her work is continually evolving.
